DeAnn Sanders had a friend who inspired her to write the lyrics. I edited the lyrics and added the last verse and put chords/melody to it and my brother added a couple of lyric lines to match the song and Jim moved it up two octaves for a female singer and brought the tempo up a little and then we were set. Problem was DeAnn does not have a home studio and could not easily do the vocals. That is where the bell went off in my head. Svenni and Inga and they took it from there. What a fantastic job they did on it. Svenni's fantastic performance/production and Inga's vocals. A true collaboration of five people and the rest is history. I hope people enjoy this song as I am very pleased how it came out.

When you walked through
the door tonight I knew in a minute
Things were not quite right
The cold look in your eyes
made chills run down my spine
I didnt know what to say
You said you were ok
And you had a hard day
But these are the things
You didnt say
Chorus
You didnt say how was your day
are you feeling ok
or that I missed you babe
your all I crave
these are the things
you didn't say
Bridge
How can we get things
Back To where they were
when I just couldn't wait
till you walked through that door
with a smile on your face
we'd kiss and embrace
All of our problems would fade
And you were all mine
Until the end of time
These are the things you would say
Chorus
How was your day?
are you feeling ok
I sure missed you babe
your all I crave
These are the things
You used to say
Bridge
Now that we know
How we got here tonight
Theres a hope in my heart
That things will turn out right
You are the one
Who gets me through the night
Remember the promise we made
To have and to hold
Until our dying days
Remember the things you used to say
Fade out 2 more times
Remember the things you used to say
Remember the things you used to say
